In this episode, the Slab Boys set out to Eastern NC and discovered a place that defies all logic: a giant, shallow, bowl-shaped lake that features crystal clear water and a beautiful white sand bottom. Oh, and excellent bass fishing!

I headed to Hyco Lake today and found the crappie in 8' to 12' of water. Water temps were 82 degrees.

I fished the main portion of Kerr Lake today from Clarksville all the way to the Mouth of Grassy Creek. If you can find brush on a point you can catch some nice size crappie. Many of the brush piles were loaded with white perch. If you don't want to catch perch you will have to move on to a new brush pile.

Building a 5-acre pond for our two pet bass!

I headed to Kerr Lake today to do some crappie fishing. Fishing was slow, we had a big front that moved over on Friday and I think that affected the fishing. My friend is making cool new lures and colors - details in the description!

Fly fishing for bass...

In an ancient river, small pools lined with lush aquatic grasses and crystal clear water hold a variety of freshwater species, including BIG largemouth bass. Fooling and landing a bass on the fly will prove to be both a challenge and a unique angling experience for the Slab Boys. Will they succeed?

In today's vlog, we are going bass fishing with a new Googan Squad mini hollow body frog (not available yet) and using the spinning tackle to properly work the frog fishing technique and catch some fat pond bass from the kayak.
